Meet Kimberly, Your Central Coast Wedding Planner

Combining marketing expertise with a passion for creating beautiful, stress-free celebrations.

Planning a wedding is one of the most significant projects you'll ever undertake, and it deserves someone who genuinely cares about bringing your vision to life. I'm Kimberly, the founder of The Finery, and I specialise in creating beautifully coordinated weddings for couples across the Central Coast.

My journey into wedding planning began with a love of events and a background in marketing and content creation. I've always been drawn to the details—the way a timeline flows, how vendors work together seamlessly, and the small touches that transform a venue into something magical. When I discovered wedding coordination, I found the perfect intersection of my skills: strategic planning, creative problem-solving, and genuine care for people's most important celebrations.

What sets The Finery apart is my approach. I don't believe in cookie-cutter weddings or one-size-fits-all planning. Every couple has a unique story, different priorities, and their own vision of what makes a perfect celebration. My role is to listen deeply, understand what matters most to you, and then use my expertise to make it happen—without the stress, overwhelm, or last-minute panic that often comes with wedding planning.

Insider Knowledge of Central Coast Venues

One of the biggest advantages of working with a local wedding planner is venue expertise. I've coordinated weddings at some of the Central Coast's most beautiful venues, from blank canvas properties, like Bidja Estate, to all-inclusive venues, such as The Beachcomber Hotel. I understand the logistics, timing, and unique opportunities each location can offer.

When you're planning at Bidja Estate, I know exactly where the best ceremony spots are, how long it takes to transition from ceremony to reception, and which vendors work best in that space. If you're celebrating at The Beachcomber, I understand the tidal considerations, the perfect timing for sunset photos, and how to manage weather contingencies for waterfront ceremonies.

This insider knowledge saves you time during planning (I can answer venue-specific questions immediately) and ensures your wedding day runs smoothly (I know the venue layout, vendor load-in procedures, and potential challenges before we even arrive).

Strategic Thinking Meets Creative Execution

My background in marketing and content creation gives me a unique perspective on wedding planning. I approach each wedding strategically—thinking through guest experience, timeline flow, and how every element works together to create a cohesive celebration. This means I'm not just coordinating vendors; I'm designing an experience that feels intentional, personal, and beautifully executed.

My content creation skills also mean I understand visual storytelling. I work closely with your photographer and videographer to ensure key moments are captured, I style details with photo opportunities in mind, and I help you create a wedding that looks as beautiful in photos as it feels in person.

Problem-Solving When It Matters Most

Wedding days rarely go exactly as planned. Vendors run late, weather changes, unexpected challenges arise. What matters is having someone who can think quickly, solve problems calmly, and ensure you never have to worry about the logistics.

I pride myself on being unflappable. When challenges arise (and they always do), I handle them quietly and efficiently so you can stay present and enjoy your celebration. My couples consistently tell me that having me there gave them peace of mind—they knew if anything went wrong, I would handle it before they even knew it happened.

"I founded The Finery because I saw too many couples stressed, overwhelmed, and unable to enjoy their own weddings. They'd spent months planning every detail, but on the day itself, they were worried about vendor timing, managing family dynamics, and ensuring everything ran smoothly. They couldn't be present because they were too busy managing logistics"

How I Work With Couples

My approach to wedding planning is built on three core principles: listening first, planning strategically, and executing flawlessly.

Listening First

Before I make any recommendations or create any plans, I take time to truly understand your vision. What kind of experience do you want to create? What matters most to you—the food, the atmosphere, the photos, the guest experience? What are you worried about? What excites you?

Too many wedding planners jump straight to solutions without understanding what the couple actually wants. I believe the best weddings happen when the planner deeply understands the couple's priorities and builds everything around that foundation.

Planning Strategically

Once I understand your vision, I bring strategic thinking to every decision. I help you evaluate vendors not just on quality but on fit—do they understand your vision? Will they work well with your other vendors? Are they reliable and professional?

I create timelines that account for realistic transition times, guest flow, and photo opportunities. I think through contingencies before they're needed. I coordinate vendors so everyone knows exactly what's happening and when. This strategic approach means fewer surprises and a smoother, more enjoyable experience for everyone.

Executing Flawlessly

On your wedding day, my job is simple: make sure everything happens exactly as planned so you can be fully present. I arrive early, coordinate vendor setup, manage the timeline, cue key moments, troubleshoot any issues, and ensure your celebration unfolds beautifully.

You won't see me stressed or
flustered. You'll see me calmly managing logistics, supporting your vendors, and ensuring every detail is perfect. My goal is for you to look back on your wedding day and remember only the joy, the love, and the celebration—not the logistics.
